According to BuzzFeed writer Mike Giglio,
“tens” of ISIS extremists have posed as Syrian refugees to make their
way into Europe, where they plan to attack government targets.
These fighters are said to have been smuggled into Europe on boats to
such destinations as Greece, Cyprus, and Italy, but have also crossed
mainland Turkey and Bulgaria.
Smugglers who are also ISIS sympathizers have helped these fighters mix in with other refugees so as to avoid suspicion.
Giglio interviewed one such smuggler, who was directly approached by
an ISIS member and revealed his intention to mount an attack in Europe.
